Extremely well written book!! A definite page turner. Characters are well thought out and likeable, something I don't see often anymore. 10/10 would recommend!!
Great story! The characters are well written and have actual personality and depth and I loved the humor. The plot flowed well and had some unexpected twists that were a complete surprise. This author is one I plan to follow

He is the apprentice of Barnabas Blackmane, who is also Solomon’s adoptive father. His mother sadly died in childbirth and his father's fate is a mystery. Solomon is part of a strange world that exist right along side ours. Creatures and beings of every description, both good and evil move among us Normals beyond the notice of most everyone.
On a brisk Monday in December - after staying up most of the night looking after a pack of sick Werewolves - Solomon's world is turned upside down when a small Cob Elf is found in the back of Blackmane’s with a strange crystal in his possession. What makes matters worse is an Albino along with his sexy twin leather clad Vampire accomplices enter the store hunting for the Elf and the crystal he carries. What happens next will lead Solomon on a quest that might just end up costing him his life.

OMG!!! I thought the first book was great, but this one is awesome! It's funny, exciting, and kept my attention from begining to end!
The first book in the series was good. This is slightly better, but the character interaction is where it shines!

Thoroughly enjoyed the 3rd book in the Solomon Drake series. Highly recommended.
WOW! I was not disappointed in the 3rd book of this series! The story line keeps getting better and better as the books go on and I have become attached to a lot of the characters (that crazy Fairy, Biggs, for one).
DEAD REIGN - The Chronicles of Solomon Drake, is a modern day fantasy story set in Detroit. Solomon Drake and Frankenstein travel to New York City to deal with an infestation of Fire Bats in the City’s Subway Tunnels. Weeks later, Solomon is implicated in the murder of Edgar Yokes, (the Wizard responsible for the Fire Bats running amuck in the city) when a note in Solomon’s handwriting is found at the deceased’s home. Two veteran detectives from New York and the head of the Black Guard make Solomon's life a living hell as he attempts to prove his innocence. If that isn't bad enough, someone is sending Zombies after Solomon to kill him to prevent him from discovering the truth about Edgar’s murder.
